The Washington
State Law Enforcement Memorial is officially operating under
the name “10-99 Foundation.” "10-99"
is a statewide code which means 'officer in need of assistance'.
The mission of the 10-99 Foundation is to finish raising
the necessary funds to begin construction of the Memorial
on the Capitol Campus in Olympia.
Special license
plate legislation to raise much needed funds for the Washington
State Law Enforcement Memorial was signed by Governor Locke
on March 29, 2004.
Once the Memorial
is completed, funds will be raised to assist surviving family
members of line of duty death in Washington State. Watch
for the new 10-99 Foundation website, which will be available
soon.
Until the new
website is available, refer to www.wslem.com
for information.
